Compression socks?

Anyone have an opinion on maternity hose or compression socks? I have heard good things about them, but this is my first child. I currently have spider veins already, so I am sure that will inevitably get worse? I have read these items could help with the spider veins?

I am wearing maternity style pantyhose socks now. Expecting twins in dec. this is my 3rd pregnancy. I wish I would have wore them for my first 2 pregnancies!  I not only have spider veins, but horribly obvious varicose veins that have all gotten worse with each pregnancy. They have really helped my aches and endurance for the day and helped my snaky looking varicose veins pop out less.

I've used compression socks and for me they never worked.

I love compression socks. Right now, I 's hot where I live so it makes them harder to wear. Once it cools down and I'm more swollen I expect to wear them regularly. For years, when I've traveled, I've worn them. They really help with swelling. And they help my legs and feet from becoming tired.

I can't speak to spider veins.
