Feeling baby??

Question

I've heard it feels like tapping, flutters, butterflies but what I feel is kind of like a light thud deep in my lower gut. It almost feels like a heart beat(you know how sometimes you feel your heart beat in weird places on your body?) is this baby? I think it might be but doesn't feel like tapping or flutters.

It might be baby! The steriotypical descriptions were not accurate for me (especially early on). I explained to my DR the feeling I was experiencing ("it feels like a bean bucking around in my belly. I told her if it's not the kid it is the weirdest gas I've ever had in my life!") and she said that it's likely the kid. Now that I've been aware for a week or so, I'm beginning to notice patterns and the sensation is getting stronger. I'm convinced that it's my belly monster, and not gas.

Felt mine today for first time! 15 wks 5 days, 2nd baby. Both times after laying on side and rolling to my back. I think it feels like flutters or ripples or a muscle spasm as someone said, but with some weight or light pressure behind it. Definitely easier to tell second time around.

If it is rhythmic like ur heart beat it is probably not baby. But it is a couple taps here and there then I would say it was baby!

Ive had the "heartbeat" feeling too. I didnt think that it could be my baby. Im 16wks.

I'm 17 weeks, and what I feel is basically flutters, but I think everyone feels and describes is differently, so depending how far you are-- it's probably baby :)))
