So I have been looking a lot at posts of baby names. I just want to put a little piece of my mind out there. Each one of these names is special and beautiful to you in some way or another. Being raised in an in-home daycare in which the kids were between the ages of 2.5-5, I have watched my mom painfully struggle to teach her kids how to spell, write, and sometimes even pronounce their own names. When they are learning the alphabet it is very phonetic. Many of the names I see are a new take on an older or less trendy name. The spelling of many of these names are very difficult. Just keep in mind the struggle a young mind goes through as it learns about the world. How junior high or high school aged kids may make fun of the name. Can the substitute teacher pronounce it? In my opinion in the world we live in today these are all things to consider. I am not trying to upset those of you who have chose to uniquely spell a name, just wanted to share a perspective.
