Taking pump to the hospital?

Are you lady's taking your pump to the hospital? 
I was gonna pack it in case my baby doesn't latch on but my sister in law whos had 2 kids said she didn't take her.

Not planning on taking mine. My hospital doesn't recommend pumping right away and if I need to for some reason, they have them there.

I wouldn't bring it. The hospital will provide one if you need or want it. And you'll most likely change rooms at least once or twice, the less stuff you have to haul around the easier it will be.

Hospitals usually provide them, but I'm taking mine with me. Where I'm delivering, every mom gets a free consultation from someone from the lactation department so I want to make sure I'll be using it right and it'll work for me.

You won't need it to use, but to ensure you use it correctly and have all the correct parts then I say take it with you. They can help with that

Odds are that your actual milk won't come in while you're at the hospital anyway. The important thing while at the hospital is the nipple stimulation. This is what is going to signal your milk to come in. When your baby does manage to latch, they will get a really high in fat colostrum instead of milk. So breast pumps really aren't  needed anyway.

I heard that hospitals provide them but I don't know. I'd kind of rather use my own if anything. Maybe take it just to be safe?
