My husband thinks if we reveal the sexes of our twins (we're having one boy and one girl) before our baby shower, people will go overboard buying clothes for the girl, and we'll be stuck buying all our more important baby items on our own, & that the boy won't get as much because people tend to buy all the cute girly stuff more than boy stuff. Has anyone had this experience and regretted revealing the sex before the shower? I think since we're having twins people will keep it fair and even if they do buy clothes, and it won't be an issue; plus I'm hoping my guests will stick to the registry. I'm anxious to announce the sexes and don't want to wait til after the shower!
