Dropping 2 eggs

So i had super super bad cramping & decided it was time to go to the er. They did a vaginal ultrasound and said i had dropped 2 eggs but they were stuck on top of each other which was causing the pain & that they will pass or rupture on their own. Wth! I have never heard of this. So if they would of made it (eggs) I would of had twins? Twins do not run in either family
