Am I crazy to consider going to a concert potentially less than 2 weeks after having a baby?

My husband bought me tickets for Christmas to see Taylor Swift Oct 17th... Then we got pregnant 😜 I'm due Sept 28th with our first baby.  We live about 9 hours from the concert venue (driving).  I plan on breastfeeding.  I don't know how crazy I am to consider still going after having a baby maybe ~2weeks prior (I know I'll probably still be bleeding/need to pump) Please be nice I am open to input but am already feeling selfish about this 😣😔

I voted don't go, not because I think it is selfish, I just think you'll need a rest with having given birth and a new baby who will want to eat all the time the first month so you'll be up a lot breast feeding.

Bring a sitter, and your pump.... Pack some spare panties and dance.

If it's a normal vaginal delivery you should be a okay.

If for some reason you have a rough delivery and/or c section you may not feel 100%. Take those situations on a case by case basis though. Don't go too cray.

Just listen to your body. I'm a tad jealous.

I personally wouldn't go. Only because I know how tired I was after having my first. All I wanted to do was sit at home and rest as much as possible.

The only thing I'd say is that you might go late and then you couldn't go and might lose the money for the tickets.

And OMG TAYLOR IS PLAYING ON MY DUE DATE!!! (JK. I'm 35 and fairly terrified of Taylor Swift.)

The only reason I say not to go is that's a lot of action 2 weeks after giving birth. You really need a lot of rest and inactivity. Even if you sit down during the concert all the people and energy... It's just too much for your recovering body. It needs to lay down frequently. Standing up the whole time just sounds like something bad waiting to happen. I really feel like you could get ill doing something like that.
If you weren't BFing you'd probably have more resources because you wouldn't be using energy to make milk. It's just a lot to ask of yourself physically imo. 
Fyi - My opinion is based on me being a big EBFing fan and had a super easy first birth- only 9 days pp bleeding. Good luck!

If you have seats I would go, but if you're standing the entire time I probably wouldn't!  Just for recovery purposes.

It's up to you, of course, and depends on how you feel then. Personally, I'd try to resell the tickets and put the money toward a massage or a really good pedicure. That is mostly because I'm exhausted and the thought of a nine hour drive gives me fits. Also if you deliver late you might still be pregnant then and your doctor won't approve of your being so far away. It's really hard to predict what will happen!

Idk I was still sore down there after 2 weeks and sitting was not comfortable. But everyone is different. I say see how you feel and if youre up to it go ahead and enjoy. Take it easy

I know how you feel...somewhat. I bought U2 tickets in December for their June show in Vancouver. We found out we were pregnant in February, and by June I was so tired and not wanting to be in a huge crowd, so we sold our tickets. 
I am due October 19th, and hubby got us tickets to his favourite, Dave Matthews Band, for early September. I hope I can handle the evening!

Breastfeeding is great. I would consider taking into account the issue of putting her on a bottle so soon since you will still be trying to get breastfeeding down. A long drive sounds like a little too much work and energy so soon. Not sure you would enjoy the concert bc you could be so concerned about the baby and other factors. Perhaps another concert in the future would be more enjoyable for you and your husband.
