Should I be worried ?

I went into the hospital for some cramping they did an ultrasound and said baby is measuring kind of small.. I did see on the ultrasound screen that it said 27 weeks so I'm guessing that's how much measuring so they're sending me to fetal specialist (MFM) I'm just thinking the worse what if they tell me something I don't want to here has anybody else been through this?
