Delivering my twins tomorrow @ 33 weeks!!
I got a call this afternoon from the high risk ob doctors, they said based on the dopplers from my ultrasound on baby B's cord, they've decided that delivering the babies would be the best thing to do. I went into premature labor at 28 weeks, was 2 dilated, they were able to stop the labor. They also gave me two course (4) steroid shots to help speed the babies lungs development. After that is when they found on ultrasound that Baby B's blood flow was showing high resistance, absent flow, & a little reversal. So for the past month we've been having to go the high risk doctors twice a week for NST, ultrasounds, & bpp's (biophysical profiles). It consistently showed high & absent flow, but then again last Friday & Monday it started having a little reversal again. Both of them are on the smaller side, but baby B is a little smaller because of the cord, not getting the full amount of nutrients. I can't believe their gonna be here tomorrow, unfortunately they'll have to stay in the NICU for awhile. They scheduled a ceaserean section for 2:00pm just in case, but said I could possibly have them vaginally, since since their both head down, & my other two kids I had vaginally. Me & my fiancé are so nervous, I knew that they could be delivered at anytime, just feels so surreal!! Praying everything goes smoothly, & that my babies are born healthy!!
