UTI? Need opinions please :)

Question

Has anyone had a painless UTI and when you pee it's red from blood? I went to urgent care last night and they confirmed that blood is in my urine and they put me on UTI antibiotics. They are sending the urine to a lab and now I wait for results! I'm so worried! Has anyone had this happen? I have been peeing blood for 2 days now and no UTI common pain. 
Trying to get some piece of mind I have been googling all day!

I work in an Urgent Care and get patients all the time with blood in their urine from a UTI. It's usually nothing serious :)

I've never had a UTI that didn't hurt. I've certainly peed blood before, but never wasn't painful. I've had bladder infections, kidney infections, and kidney stones, but they were always very uncomfortable. Best advice I can give you is drink your body weight in water and cranberry juice. Pure, obviously, not cocktail. The antibiotic should kick in in a few days, mine are usually still painful and some blood in my urine for up to 5 days after I start taking the antibiotics. Basically right around the time I would start considering calling the doctor and telling him his pills aren't working is when they kick in. Good luck dear!

I did the same thing an they said it was just a bad kidney infection..Believe me I freaked out just like you are..I'm sure it's just a kidney infection..

I had many uti with blood im kinda prone to them but they always have terrible pain. Drink some cranberry juice maybe it will help too. Bladder cancer can make that happen but it's very rare i think it's just an infection. Good luck

Might be stones. I've had severe kidney infections (from untreated UTIs), and I never peed blood. Almost died but didn't pee blood. Stones can cause bleeding! Ah feel better. Let us know what it is

My frond had that issue, it was from working out to hard and not a UTI. Apparently it is common and went away on it's own.
