How many Diapers?

Im due with my twins in 8 weeks and I'm stocking up on some diapers. What would some of you recommend as far as how many per size I should get. Should I get a couple premie or just stick to newborn? And how many newborn packages would be good?

The only advantage I find to staying in the smaller size is that you get more for your money. That being said I cloth diapered my preemie and you go through a lot of diapers early on. Changing at every feeding and if you notice they're wet/dirty cause they have such sensitive skin at that time. I also find you move up to the next size before the weight recommendation because they wet through. You can always use the next size up but it's hard to use a diaper that's too small so just hold on to receipts and you can always exchange up, Walmart and target are pretty good about exchanges of you don't have the receipt. My little guy was 4lbs and came home at ~5&1/2lbs, we only used the regular newborn size of we were out and needed disposables. The hospital should give you a couple packages of preemie diapers, I gave them to little cousin for her dolls lol. Sorry that was a round about way of offering advice, my thoughts don't run very linear these days lol

As long as they're unopened, if you have too many of one size once they're born you should be able to take them back and exchange them for the size you need.

My boys only used preemies for a week. I had stocked up on preemies lol. They were in the NICU for three weeks. Two weeks of being home, and they needed a size 1. Now at almost 11 weeks old, they are a size two. I would get a bag or two of preemie, but stock up on newborns just in case they come out bigger than expected. Even though my boys were early, they were over 5lbs.

It all depends on how big they are! We used preemie diapers for 2 months and newborn for 2 months after that! At 5 months we'll be using size 1 for another month or so. My girls were 3lb 7oz and 5lb 6oz. I would recommend you buy at least enough newborn for 2 weeks- 10/day per baby. You can fold the top down if they're too big. Then you can order more on Amazon once they're born. Or buy and save receipts. Amazon mom saves 20% and has been the least expensive I've found!  The hospital will also likely give you some preemie diapers if you need them. They gave us a package or two per day we were there and we stashed them in the car to take home!
