Just a rant

Tonight I went to a family party. My aunt is crazy and a know it all(We call her She who shall not be named). And every time anything about labor would be brought up she would contradict what the person was saying. "Oh you don't need an epidural!" "You don't need pitocin". She told me my doctor was an idiot. He's actually quite amazing and has been an OB longer than I've been alive. I wanted to ask her when she went to medical school. Then! My cousin who is visiting from out of state, her husband is doing his residency, and now she knows everything. She kept telling me my dad HAS to be there so they don't force me into doing anything unnecessary(my dad is a doctor). My dad won't be there. But I'm also going to be keeping in touch with him the whole time for this very reason. I basically just got talked to like I was a moron all night, just because this is my first child. I've tried to make myself very well educated on the birthing process and my options. And I have talked to my dad and my doctor(they worked together, so I trust my doc a lot) about all of my questions.
