Is it a contraction?

So I have two questions... It seems like my baby's butt sticks out from my belly- pushing hard. Could this be a contraction? 
And do baby's move at all while you are having contractions? 
39 weeks today!

Whattttt? Seriously??? Omg I feel so dumb! I've been saying I've had no braxton hicks as well and just thought she was stretching her little butt out. This has been so revealing! Haha thanks everyone 😜

OMG really?! I've been complaining I've basically had no braxton hicks but I do get the butt sticking out at the top of my bump just under my right rib... i thought it was just baby stretching out...! Xxx

That is exactly how my BH contractions feel! Usually I feel babe moving right before on the. Everything gets tight and bulge forms on one side really hard and tight! Since so far along I would def. time that! If you move and it goes away or changes its probably just BH! Good luck!

I get this all the time. It feels like his pushing my belly out, no idea if it's a contraction or he just wants to try and fool me. FTM problems, nearly 38 weeks and hoping every tightening is labor starting.

That's def a BH I thought the same thing and while I was at the doctor one day she said oh your having a contraction! I felt so dumb haha

My baby has been doing this for quite a while....I had no idea I just thought she was running out of room and wanted to to push her little butt up. Hmmm....

Hahahahahaha!!!! I was just googling "fetal movement of contraction". I had no idea either! This is my fourth! Have t had a natural labor since my oldest, who is 11... The last two I was induced due to Bp, and this one as well. Thanks for all the info everyone

Pretty sure these are Braxton hicks :) I had the same confusion as you. Feels like the baby is pushing out its weird
