HCG levels dropped ...Help

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the level is rising normally. We look for a 53% rise or more; from Monday to Wednesday the level only went up 47%; and from Wednesday to Today it went down by 9%. Unfortunately, this suggests you might be having a miscarriage rather than a healthy pregnancy. There is also a very rare possibility that you might have something called an "ectopic pregnancy". These are the words from my doctor and I am scared out of my mind. Has this happened to anyone?
