Digital or not?

Question

I was wondering what tests I should take to see if I am pregnant. I am due to have AF on Aug 4 according to this app. I took a digital Clear Blue test with BFN this morning and I took a regular test on Thursday with a BFN. Am I testing too early? Or am I really not pregnant?

I only bought digital to verify that I was indeed pregnant. I used the dollar store tests prior to that.  As soon as I saw a line on a dollar store test - straight to the digital I went! It confirmed the pregnancy and I was extatix! I would wait to use/buy a digital test until you see any sort of line on a cheapie. Good luck! Sending baby dust your way!!!

Digitals aren't worth the money :) I used the cheapo kind and bought a better one to double check when the cheap one finally said positive!

I use dollar tree tests. I used to buy the fancy ones but it's a waste of money. I get 5 at a time for a lthird of the cost of one at the regular drugstore. If you are, it will pick it up the hormone. No batteries needed for that.

I had bad luck with a digital I used it on a Saturday and my period was due on Thursday it said not pregnant. A week later, 2 days after my period was due I used a regular clear blue and it said pregnant. I think they are not as sensitive as regular test.

It's all about preference. I will never use anything but a digital. I guess I'm too tech dependent. If it doesn't tell me I'm pregnant, I don't believe it.

I tested with the cheap $1 tests from the dollar store. On the day of my missed period I tested and had a VERY faint line. I ran out right away and bought a more expensive test since I knew it would be able to detect more of the pregnancy hormone. I bought the clear blue digital with weeks estimator. It only took 1 test to find out we were expecting.

Id recommend testing with cheap ones until you see a faint line because you'll waste so much money using more expensive tests.

I used a Walgreens digital. Can't remember how much t was but it was slightly more than the traditional kind but less than a name brand one.

We were ttc for a whole year before I got my bfp and during that time I used a LOT of different tests. For early testing your best bet is the FRER (First Response Early Result) I got my first positive on this test at 9dpo! It was faint, but definitely there! The Dollar Tree tests and the .88 Walmart cheapies didn't show a line till about 12dpo. There are very sensitive strip tests you can order online much cheaper than buying FRER too. I never used them, but many ladies swear by them. The CB digitals are pretty costly to use all the time. I did buy a box after I had gotten lots of positives on the cheaper tests. I got the CBDA w/ weeks indicator to confirm the hcg levels were consistent with my date calculations and so I could take a picture of the result. Lol, sometimes it just helps to see the words instead of interpreting a line. However, with an hpt, a line is a line is a line! If you have a line in the test window, the test is detecting hcg, which means PREGNANT!! Best of luck, I hope this helps!

I was 6 days late when I tested with the 88 cent cheapo at Walmart lol. After that one showed positive, I bought Clear Blue Digital. Definitely go the cheap route, and test a little closer to when AF is due. Sometimes it takes a while for the hormones to build up :)
