Testing to early????

Question

So I have a question, why do you ladies take a pregnancy test before your next AF arrives?  I mean, I know we are all excited and dying to get that BFP but why wouldn't you wait until you miss your monthly visit from our dear AF???  Just curious!

I test early just because I work as an Emt and if I am pregnant I would like to know early so they can make adjustments for me and because I was high risk last pregnancy so I have to find an obgyn the specialized. That is my reason

I took a test 6 days before my missed period because I just knew something was up. Got accurate positives both times.

When I was pregnant (miscarried at 13 weeks) I didn't miss my period yet and it was 3 days before I was supposed to get it... Something told me when I woke up for work that morning to take it ... Sure enough I take it, get in the shower, hopped out to dry myself off and looked at it (not expecting it to be positive, because it never was) sure enough there was a second line... So I had to work all day knowing I was pregnant and not being able to scream it at the top of my lungs... But any who idk what told me to take it that morning !!

July was our first month TTC, I always said I wouldn't take a test until a week after my missed period. Well that didn't happen....lol! Day before my missed period I took a test, BFP! I was shocked. Waited 3 days and took a digital test, same result! I caved due to feeling sick and dizzy, I had to know!

I tried 3 days before my missed period and got a positive ☺ I was too anxious to wait.

Because they are probably anxious I was when I was pregnant I tested positive before my period came..some people just can't wait

I always wondered that too, especially because my positive didn't come until several days after my missed period. I guess some people are just so anxious especially if they've been ttc for awhile. I think the statistics on the packaging is very misleading though. I see at least a few posts a day from people freaking out because they're getting negatives and testing before their period is due. I have to swoop in and reassure them ;)

I waited until after AF because I didn't want to be let down unnecessarily. Plus that is when the test is most accurate. I totally understand wanting to test early though. I just don't have the heart for it...
