Anyone have hypothyroidism?

Just curious as I was recently diagnosed and have been on meds since June. Is this something I should remind the office when I call tomorrow to let them know I'm pregnant? I've just done a lot of reading about having to adjust levels throughout pregnancies and don't want to be waiting too long where it could affect anything. Thanks :)

Yes, you should let your endo know you are pregnant. I am hypo as well and my dr wanted me to call him as soon as I got a bfp so they could monitor my levels as needed through and after the pregnancy.

I have hyperthyroidism. My case is really weird. My brain says i dont produce enough so it tells my thyroid to produce more but my thyroid is producing too much. I am on PTU right now which can cause birth defects but i guess the outcome out weigh the risks. My ob/gyn knows im on it. My endo dr draws my blood and sees me every 3 months. Now that i am pregnant he is seeing me once a month. I had a missed miscarriage in april so i am praying this baby sticks. Just make sure to bring it up to ur ob/gyn and if u are on any medications let them know.

Yes I have hypothyroidism.  Hashimoto to be exact.  This is my first pregnancy with the disease

I do!  You will want to alert them bc your levels may change through pregnancy and they may need to adjust your dose
