Does anyone else have an SO of 2+ years that doesn't buy flowers, surprise you, or really seem to want to spend time alone together besides sex anymore?

Yes. I've been with my SO for 6+ years and even though we are around each other a lot it's really hard to get him to spend "real" quality time together. We will sit in the living room and I'm on my phone and he's on the playstation and he thinks that is "spending time together." If I say something he will usually get better for a week or so but then it's just same old same old. He has never gotten me flowers but he's just not an overly romantic guy. He will surprise me with a treat on his way home from work sometimes and he says sweet things a lot (sometimes I think it's just cause he wants some action though lol) MEN!!!

That's so sad..my husband and I have been together for 17 yrs and he still buys me flowers although not as often and still buys me jewelry.  He surprises me with stuff all the time. I guess I am very fortunate..

Been with mine for almost 18 yrs he never gets me flowers or jewelry but what he gets is better brings me ice coffee and breakfast in bed at least once a week it's hard spending alone time together right now as he works nights and kids are on school break but we try to sneak out a few times a month even if we are just going for an ice cream.

My so and I altogether five years together yes it seems as we get in a rut like all we have is sex.......sometimes I try to spice things up. Wear something sexy.......make him a nice dinner........also say something to him just casually try not to argue just say remember when you...,.............why don't you do that anymore?
