Transvaginal?

Tell me all the details on the transvaginal  ultrasound. I'm getting one next week. Really nervous. What does it entail, does it hurt, how far up does it go????? Thank you in advance!

Sorry to be vulgur but obviously you've had sex so the insertion of it is painless much like a male part going into the vagina..it will even have a condom on it :) oh and sooo much lube so you don't feel that part. The only uncomfortable part and not painful just uncomfortable and weird is when they start moving it around. That is a little cringe worthy but not painful. You may feel some pressure and that's about it

It doesn't hurt but it is uncomfortable. It's like an ultrasound wand basically! My OB used it for my confirmation appt because the baby is too little to be picked up on a regular belly ultrasound machine.

I have vaginiamus and even I didn't have a problem with it. I had it at around 6 weeks, and I am at 29, so it has been awhile....but I don't even think the doc used a speculum (which I hate as it makes me feel like I have been pulled open).

Its uncomfortable because it feels like a stick up your vagina moving around , but it doesn't hurt . What I did when i first got it since I was nervous I took a deep breathe before my doctor stuck it in and I didn't feel a thing .

you'll be ok. it's a bit uncomfortable but overall it's definitely not something you won't be able to handle :)
