Due 07/31/2015 with baby girl Vivienne
Due 07/31/2015 with baby girl Vivienne. So after 5 days of padromal labor with contractions ranging from 1 min-30 min apart but mainly between 7-10 min apart the nurse practitioner sent me to l+d for medically assisted sleep. It didn't work I was awake. I was sent home at 40+3 on 08/03/2015 to wait until I went into real labor or my scheduled induction at 41 weeks on 08/07. But another night awake with contractions lasting up to 5+minutes in length and the fact I hadn't slept in almost a week at my appointment on Tuesday they decided I would go in at 3pm that day to be induced. I went in completely effaced and 3cm dialated. They started the pitocin around 5pm on 08/04 at 7:30 I got my epidural by 8:15 I was singing I love my epidural and was a completely different person. By midnight I was 6cm by 3am 9. At 4 am they started lowering my epidural and I was 10 and was laboring down to have her drop from -2. At 6am I started pushing. I was having horrible pain only on my right side. After a few pushes my water broke. But then drama began. She was stuck and coming crooked. I started wanting to give up and the pain was so severe. I started puking. By 8am they realized they needed to assist. A whole lot of people rushed in and I don't remember much else. I was puking and they were stretching and trying to reposition her. After 3+hours of pushing, an episiotomy, and a vacuum assisted birth I gave birth to our beautiful baby girl. Although I think because of a large amount of amniotic fluid they had to pump from her stomach the night after she was born she weighed 7.8lbs and 20 inches. After the pumping she was down to 7.4lbs. When we left she was down to about 7lbs. She has jaundice and we stayed an extra day but that was my savior. She has issues eating from the jaundice and sleeps all the time. We are on a weekend pass and she get rechecked Monday. She's eating a bit better but still sleeping most of the time. Moms in lots of pain and worried she's eating enough. My beautiful Vivienne Marget couldn't imagine one second without her.
