Is it weird that my husbands brother got a tattoo of our daughter's name..? He hasn't even met her yet.

He texted me today showing off his new ink (his first ever tattoo, may I add) I was shocked to see my daughter's name printed on his arm. I'm disappointed because he didn't ask my permission, and I was planning a tattoo that I was going to get for her. I'm weirded out, but my husband thinks it's cute... He says I'm overreacting. Thoughts?

If she was already here and they were close I'd get it. My brother is very very close to my daughter and id be okay with him getting her name tattooed but she is 4 years old and adores her uncle. I think it's a little weird that he doesn't even have a bond with her yet.

It's her uncle! I could see if it was your husbands friend, why it would be weird! But being her uncle I don't see what's so wrong about it!

Maybe he's just a proud uncle! I would feel blessed if my brother had my kids on him too! It's a special thing he did if he's planning on being a close uncle. If it was out of spite to make you mad, then no it's wrong. Just my thought. Chin up :-)

My husband's brother has all three of his nieces names along with his one nephew's name tattooed on him and plans to also get our son's name tatted. I think it's sweet and weird. Lol. I mean I know a lot of people get their children's names tatted but their nieces and nephews?

So my Sister in Law had a baby and we have yet to meet the little man but we love him so much! It is wierd but there is that familial connection. Any baby is a blessing and when the baby is related to you then it is something to be proud and overjoyed about.

It may be a little weird but at least you know your daughter is loved by family members. He may just be really excited or couldn't think of anything else to put 😂 give him a little breathing room. Your daughter might just be his favorite and she'll be spoiled by her uncle💁🏻
