Would you be offended if someone asked you your ethnicity?

I've always been fascinated with genealogy and how different ethnicities can combine to make the most interesting and beautiful people and I always find myself wondering what ethnicity people are. I am English and Samoan and I've been asked things like "are you part black?" "are you mixed?" "are you islander?" And I've never taken offense because I am proud to talk about my ethnicity and heritage! Would you be offended if someone asked you what ethnicity you are?

I have naturally curly hair but straighten it every few days. One thing I've found is that people don't believe me when I say I'm part Samoan because my skin isn't very dark, that is when I do get offended! Lol I'm not dark because my mom is pastey white and my dad who is Samoan was always lighter! 😛
