Why does it look like this?

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Most, if not all, of my tests look like this. With dye all over the place. This pic is taken at 5 mins (when the instructions say to read test). I follow the instructions by only holding it in urine for 5 seconds, placing it on a flat surface while waiting and everything. Even when I let it sit for longer it still looks like this.
