Ovary pain close to ovulation?

Hello!
I am just starting to track my body now in preparation for TTC next year.

I woke up yesterday with a dull pain/twinge in my right ovary area which I thought may have been from pulling something at netball, however I just saw that today is ovulation day and I'm wondering if the pain is from ovulating?
I did note a similar pain last my left but didn't think much of it until now.

If this related, does the pain usual mean it's go time?

So many things to learn!

I can feel when I ovulate and which side it has come from so it is possible! Xx

Ovulation pain can happen before, during, or after ovulation so it by itself isn't a great way to determine when you're ovulating. I would definitely keep track of other symptoms too.
