Nexplanon or IUD? Symptoms? Side affects??

I just started on the pill and I've been having crazy moods swings since I started. And I'm just wondering what experiences ya'll have had with the nexplanon implant, IUD and the pill? And seeing what side affects and symptoms you've experienced with any of them?

I had implanon put in September 2009. Then July 2012 i had a miscarriage so i took it out. Then i got pregnant August 2012 and had my baby boy April 2013. I had Nexplanon put in right after having baby but i think it's preventing me from losing weight and in the past few months i notice some of the side effects such as naseau, headaches, mood swings etc. I am seriously considering removing Nexplanon but wanting to decide together on this with my spouse since it is possible from the point of removal that we could conceive. I hope this bit of info has helped :)

Para guard has no hormones so it's a good choice if your looking for a non hormonal solution

Okay, so I had the nexplanon for around 6 months(June-March). I had it removed because I broke it. I was told I would start my period within a week of it being out (at this moment I hadn't had a period sense september) I am now going on 6 months with no period. I was spotting a little for about two day back in May but it wasn't enough to even worry about. (I'm hesitant about saying spotting because it was more so discharge?!?)

We have had a couple condom mishaps and not used one at all a time or two. I have tastes time after time, and all they negative, but I haven't started.

I've been pregnant before and it feels VERY similar to how I feel now. The only difference is, I actually feel bloated now. Some of my clothes I suddenly can't fit in anymore because it won't button/zip around my tummy. I'm not exactly a size 0, but I'm not huge. I've never had such drastic changes before. I have lower back pains (sciatic nerve) nausea, light headaches. Light cramping ( little higher than period cramps) gas, heightened sense of smell (I live near a paper plant and when I go through that town normally the smell is fine, but I couple days ago my boyfriend and I went through there and I though I was going to be sick) constipation every now and again that will last days.

I'm at a loss because I do not have any insurance, but I need to know what's wrong. No matter how many tests I take they all say negative (I once got a light plus sign but it was faint and went away after a while) I would get a blood test but I'm afraid I'll spend the money just to get a negative and still be left with no answers.

I also gained 55lbs on the Nexplanon.

I had the implanon implant (same is explain) for just about three years.   When I got it inserted, my arm bruised pretty bad but that was it.  I had my period three times a year, it was great!  I never had any of the listed side effects and not having to remember anything was great!  It was just always there and always working.

I have had the Mirena IUD for 1.5 years. Not having to take anything or replace it regularly is amazing. The first year was great- no periods or cramping. However, after the first year I began to get ovarian cysts that ruptured. I began to have periods again and spot irregularly with cramps. My doc RXed me provera for 10 days and that fixed the spotting. If you are prone to acne, Mirena or other birth controls with progesterone (such as the implant or shot) may make acne worse. I have one bad breakout a month on my face neck and chest. I'm still keeping it in because I never worry about pregnancy and I have a lot of sex with my boyfriend. It's also extremely convenient and doesn't interfere with my schedule. My boyfriend has only felt the strings 2 times out of the thousands of times we've had sex and it didn't hurt him, it just felt "weird."

I've had the Nexplanon IUD in for a couple weeks. Haven't had a period or any bleeding yet. But i have been having crazy mood swings lately & i feel kinda depressed.
