Anyone else getting progesterone injections?

I get them weekly. Forgot to ice on Monday and it stung soooo bad.

I had to get progesterone in oil shots every day for the first 12w. Try using a heating pad (just on the injection site) before and after the shot for a few minutes. It worked much better than applying cold packs. It also helped to heat up the PIO to body temp by warming the vial in my arm pit....sounds odd but my RE told me to do it and it made the injection much easier! Right after the shot, if you rub the injection site really hard, it won't bruise up as bad or cause a ball that becomes more painful! I was getting the shots in my back around my hips. Hubby had to give them to me. Many memories of them but I am glad I don't have to do them anymore. Wishing you luck!!!

What do you mean you forgot to ice? I get a progesterone shot every week and it just feels like I have a little bruise where I got the injection..
