I personally am an advocater for required sexual education for grades 5-12 (learning in steps of course) did you know that in the US only 8 states require medically accurate, nonbiased sex ed? Did you know that only 2 (!!!!??) states in the US require that to be LGBT+ friendly and offer safety tips for those teens as well? Did you know that in all other 42 states besides the 8 beforementioned there is barely a guideline to how the cariculum is taught and it's optional?  I understand some people believe it's a parents right and job to yeah their children about sex but sadly it's not happening and in those SAME STATES where parents are pretending their teens aren't having sex school teachers are teaching sexist scare tacticts and emotionally scarring young women. Now this is a poll too see who's with me on mandating a carriculum including: personal hygiene/body positivity and acceptance/puberty/how sex works/consequences of sex/what consent looks like/ACCURATE information and statistics about birth control/a judgement free environment for students to ask questions.
