Epidural/ pain management???

Question

What are you/ or did you do for the pain management while giving birth?

I don't want to do something that could have a lot of negative effects after the fact. For instance heard that an epidural can have long lasting back issues afterwards.

Any suggestions?

I want to have an epidural, only because I have very very low pain tolerance.
My SIL had her baby a week back, and beforehand she was very very stressed about epidural.
Apparently, it can leave you with a permanent headache, in the front of your head but apparently its so so so rare.

I had an epidural, it wore off and i had it again. I felt back pain the first week but that was it. I'm definitely glad I got it and then they just ended up using my epidural for my c-section.
