Are childbirth classes and breast feeding classes worth it?

I'm due in November and wondering if these classes are worth the $?

I took a hypnobirthing class and feel less anxious about labor and delivery!  100% worth it!

our hospital offers them free. your actually encouraged to take them. Some even give incenitives

Kaiser offers them, some for free. I've only been to one - the Early Pregnancy for First Timers class, and I found it to be informative. I look forward to the other ones.

At our birthing center they are included, 6 classes from pre to postnatal.

Since I'm a scheduled C section and cannot breastfeed... For me it's a waste of time.

I didn't take any of the classes.  $150 seemed a bit extreme for a class and they were all filled up anyways since we moved so late in the pregnancy.

I didn't take the BF one but in the hospital there is q lactation consultant and she comes everyday to check on you and how you are doing so she will tell you the best way to latch Etc-

I've been wondering the same thing. My hospital charges $80 and I even work for the dang hospital!
