Second hand glider and ottoman slipcovers!

a • Married to my best friend. Due mid November with our first baby!
I took the advice I got on Glow to purchase a second-hand glider and ottoman from a yard sale site and just re-slipcover to make it feel new and match the decor on a budget.
I was really worried - I am not crafty at all and have never sewn anything in my life. But when I saw a Dutalier (apparently a nicer brand of gliders) for $45, I bought it and about $15 in bold, fun IKEA fabric and watched a few YouTube tutorials and Pinterest instructables and used my grandma's crappy little mini sewing machine and it actually kind of worked! It is not perfect but I am really happy with how it turned out. Before and after below.
So, if you are considering trying a second hand chair and making your own slipcovers, honestly DO IT! It's not as hard as it looks. It only took me a few hours (and half dozen needle pricks) and now I might try to sew a few other things! and I am so excited to rock my baby in a chair that I made of of a kind for them!
