How can I be ovulating when it says I ovulated the 6th and I was i took a test and it was positive at least I think. What does this mean? The ones pulling more color and I don't ovulate at least I don't think.

Positives From The Negatives

A positive ovulation tests means the test line is darker or equal to the color of the control line. A negative result means you have a faint line, test line is half of the color it needs to be, or no line at all.

Sometimes it is hard to read an ovulation test. Telling a positive from a negative. Often times a woman will get a few positives in a row. 3 or less is not uncommon, however more than this can be a problem.

1) Either you have higher levels of theluteinizing hormone, which could result in an infertility issue.

2) Interpreting the results of the ovulation tests mixing up true positives from the negatives. A true positive the test line will be darker than the control line. You may have as your surge peaks down another test where-as the test line is as dark-this would be a negative result.

3) You caught your luteinizing hormone at its natural peak, and as it goes back down, you are catching it again while testing. See above.

Stop testing as soon as you get your true positive ovulation test. If you keep testing, this will confuse you with your past result.

It needs to be very dark when you are ovulating, I mistook those as a positive for a year and a half, I only ever got one bright red one and that was the month I fell pregnant
