I really would like to give birth without an epidural. If any of you ladies had a non-medical intervention birth what helped you through and what worked best for you to achieve your goal? I should preface this by saying that I will be delivering in a hospital without a midwife or doula. Although the hospital has implemented a lot of evidence based birth practices I feel like it's going to be all on me to get through this without meds. I feel like everything I've been taught about natural pain management are things I already know bc I've taught them to my clients as a therapist. I understand how the brain works and how you can make it work for you so I'm feeling pretty confident! Just wanted some input from other ladies who have achieved this goal.
