Does anyone else agree that your body belongs to your husband, and his body belongs to you?

I am not saying that spouses have a right to abuse each other, nor am I condoning the use of your spouse sexually without their consent. I also believe that we should accept our spouse's imperfections where they are unable to change. But I am saying that in most cases, I don't agree with the "my body, my choice" or "my life, my decision" mentality for a married person, male or female.

No. you don't own each other. your bodies are your own. it is your body and your choice. it's outright ridiculous to give anybody, even your husband, control over your body.

Nope, nope, nope. My body, my choice. I am the one who has to live in it. It is mine, and ONLY mine. I am no one's property, and no one is entitled to say what I do with it.

Yes and no. If he didnt want me to wear a certain dress in public because it was too short, I probably wouldnt. If i didnt want him to go shirtless in public, he wouldnt. However, if I wanted to lose a few pounds, i would do it wether he wanted me to or not. Same with him. It about balance.

I did not give up my rights to live the life I wanted when I got married, neither did he. It's why there was many discussions prior to being married about what we wanted.

I can understand the sentiment behind the statement but I'm far too literal of a woman to be able to agree. My body does not belong to anybody but me. And I certainly don't control the body of another human being.

Just because you get married does not mean another person takes ownership of your body or you theirs. That's ridiculous. I whole heartedly love my husband but I'm not going to ask him for permission to get a tattoo, have a drink, or have sex with him because he demands it either. I'll ask him for his opinion but ultimately, it's my choice; wedding vows or not.

I think what most married people mean when they say that is they don't share. My body is my fiance's in the sense that I will not give myself to anyone else and his is mine with the same commitment. 
That doesn't mean I don't control my own body. It means I'm committing to him to only give myself to him.

What's mine is mine and what's his is mine ✔❕Just kidding 😁.  I don't own him and he doesn't own me. We make decisions together by taking  in the consideration of how the other feels about  it.  But, ultimately, my body is mine and his body is his.

My husband tells me all the time that his body is all mine. I love hearing it! And I love knowing my body is his. Because it's "his" he respects it very much and treasures it. I'd never ever tell my husband "my body, my choice." We belong to each other and have a mutual love and respect for one another.
