Has anyone ever had their period WHILE they were pregnant?

Obviously I know that there is implantation bleeding  and spotting. This is the sign of early pregnancy! ( have heard that It's not enough to fill a pad, it's one of the above!) 
Yet I have heard a couple people say that they have had their period during their pregnancy.  It may sound like a dumb question, but I just want to see what others think!

they don't consider it a "period" when your pregnant ...but my brothers girlfriend did get what she thought was her period for 5 months before she missed it and took a pregnancy test. So yes she was 5 months along and they had no idea because of the bleeding she was getting monthly!! My niece is now a beautiful 2 year old =)
