Induction with cytotec (spelled?) experience?

Question

I'm scheduled for an induction tomorrow evening at 7 pm due to hypertension. I'll be 39 weeks and 5 days. Dr said she would use cytotec instead of cervadil before pig icon since I'm dilated to 2 and 50% effaced. Anyone have experience with that induction method?

They gave me cytotec with the balloon to induce me due to high blood pressure at 36 and 4 days. I was able to deliver vagionally. 16 hour labor and 2 hours of pushing. Got the epidural and one round of narcotics. It wasn't  how my husband and I planned it to go but we didn't have a lot of control. In the end everything worked out great!

Ina Mae is very against cytotec. I would do some googling as to its safety go make sure you are comfortable.

I had a missed mc and was induced over two days with vaginally inserted misoprostol (cytotec). Honestly the contractions weren't that bad- but keep in mind I was only at 19 weeks at that point. I just wanted to respond so your question didn't get bumped to the bottom without being seen!
