How long can baby sleep in a bassinet for?

We will be moving two times shortly after baby is born & I don't want to waste the space or money on a crib if we can get away with a bassinet until we move. Also, what a pain it would be to set up & take apart to put it back together again...twice!

How long is it okay for baby to sleep in a bassinet?

I'd say until baby doesn't fit in it anymore.

I noticed a lot of bassinets have a weight limit, keep that in mind when you're shopping

It should say on the bassinet instructions when you get one! Mine says about 6 months! :)

My bassinet says 30 lbs max weight. I think most of them are like that.

It's recommended three months or until the baby can roll.
