I am 5 days late! Help

Hello girls' im a little bit confused and not sure what to think. I've been trying to concieve for 7 months now, and for the first time im 5 days late on my period. I did a pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative! I've never missed a period before. Sometimes im 2-3 days late but never 5! Dont know what to think! Help
