Our hospital is not close to our home and there is the possibility of snow and ice storms. I don't have any family in the states, they will be visiting and not able to take my dog. His family will probably be crazy busy too and for various reasons, can't take my dog. I should be giving birth around the holidays (december) so I don't know what is open or if I'll be able to get there in a storm. I really don't want my husband driving across town in snow and ice to check on my dog. 

I just want my dog somewhere safe and cared for until we can come home.
