Gets positive OPK's but still not pregnant?

Hi ladies, We've been trying to conceive for 8 months now and I always get positive OPK's every month but I don't understand why I'm still not pregnant. This is frustrating.. my obgyn doesn't want to test me or anything either... coz she said it usually takes a year to conceive for a healthy couple.. help any advice?😕
