All I will say is that when most of us were conceived there was little to no guidance on foods/drinks/drugs/habits to avoid whilst pregnant and I think we turned out ok didn't we...? Obviously I'm still a firm believer of everything in moderation- act like you are pregnant but a small glass of wine once in a while I really don't think will do much damage!

Most medical groups recommend zero alcohol... Why risk it even for one drink? You cannot guarantee it's harmless so why do it?? Seriously, it's non essential... If u need stress relief do something nice like get a massage or go for a long walk.

I'd rather not risk it. One glass of wine to relieve a little tension/anxiety could lead to problems with the baby. I figure I can give up drinking for the health of my baby for 10 months.

No known safe amount - better not to risk it IMO.

Did 51.2% really vote yes?? Why would you even put a drop of alcohol in your body if you are pregnant? This is unbelievable to me... 😞

I'm TTC and as soon as I found out I'm pregnant I won't be drinking at all. I'll do whatever it takes to make sure my baby is healthy. Giving up alcohol for nine months won't kill you.

I haven't and won't. It just makes me too nervous. Like another poster said, I don't even like taking Tylenol lol

In fetal circulation the blood bypasses the liver this means the blood will not get cleaned before going into the baby. If you have a glass of wine, it will travel into you blood stream to the baby. I would advise not to. there are bypasses (and others bypasses in the heart) to the liver of a fetus so your baby gets the most nutrition out of the food and also so the blood pressure stays regular. (took biology 12)
