Past-due ladies! Help!

Larissa
If you were past due, and had not lost your mucus plug, did you lose it before going into labor? Of course those that have not been induced. I'm 4 days past due and lost mine today. I'm praying for a miracle to not get induced. I need some hope that things might be moving forward. I have a heart condition that could be very serious in an induction so we are hoping he will come on his own. I'm 40+4, and have an induction scheduled for 41+6.
Also, I know it doesn't mean I will start labor soon. I'm just really hoping.

Since you have a heart condition have they considered doing a c-section rather than an induction or would that be even worse? I wouldn't want a c-section unless it was really necessary, but if it was safer for you maybe it could be an option? Also maybe if you are at least a few cm dilated when you go they could break your water first and see if that works to avoid pitocin.

A c section is not any better of an option, and with my husband's job I won't have him to help. The biggest problem with my heart is pitocin putting my heart in distress which could cause heart attack or stroke for me or lack of oxygen to baby leading to c sec that I won't have help after.

I was 9 days over due. I bounced on an exercise ball one day. The next day I lost my mucus plug. And the day after that I went into labor. I still had to get pitocin tho.

I'm 40 + 2 and today I lost what I believe is my mucus plug (ftm). I'm supposed to be induced on Wednesday if she doesn't come on her own by then. Best of luck to you and your's. :)
