Your relationship with your mother

This is my mom and me, she is my best friend! I can't get over how blessed I am to have her as my guide.

I hope I can become half the woman my mother is. I swear that woman could move a mountain if she set her mind to it....Even if it meant moving it one boulder at a time.

My mom is my best friend. We had a terrible relationship high school and early college years but then everything turned around. This is us at the Sam Smith concert! I love this woman!!!

If there was an option for zero, I would have picked it. She told me during my childhood that she wished she had aborted me multiple times and that I was the biggest mistake she had ever made. I cut her out of my life 2 years ago and a huge weight lifted off my shoulders.

I pick 5 why well my mom had always been there for me..my mom rqised us as a single mom of 4 since my youngest brother was not even 1 Hes 18 now...never let us down...not only for that reason but im currently 11weeks pregnant and was craving her enchiladas she came over and made me 2pans of them bean n rice...P.s. i forgot to mentioned i live in Houston tx n she well she live in dallas tx....i love my mommy

She ignored me most of my youth, bought me lingerie instead of food, had me show the lingerie off to her boyfriend, invited a rapist to live in our home, put my dog to sleep without telling me, kicked me out when I found the rapist got me pregnant, assaulted me while I was pregnant, charged me with assault despite the fact I did nothing but defend myself, threw away most of my belongings, and stole my cat.I think that's enough said.

I rated my mom a 5 but easily could have been a 10! I have never known a more selfless woman in my life. My dad passed when I was 15 from NHL. His death only strengthen our bond. She was my best friend. She died when I was 24 from a heart attack. If I can be half the woman she was, I be damn proud. I hope my daughter and I have the same relationship. So far so good...but she's only 3! ❤

I rated 2. My mom gave me up to my grandparents when I was 2 since she decided she didn't want a baby at that point in her life, nor could she afford one. But then proceeded to have 5 more children. She acts like she is this huge positive influence and that she's done so much for me. My grandma is my "mom" and SHE is the best mother I could have asked for! My actual mother can't even take the time to wish me a happy birthday. Or anything. Very sad, but is what it is I'm very thankful I grew up with my grandparents. I see my sweet siblings having to deal with my mothers shit and the turmoil it has put them through. We are civil and kind. But yeah, that's about it. 

3 on a good day. My mom and I can have so much fun together sometimes... when she's in a good mood. But when she's not its hell on earth. She refuses to listen to how I feel or what I have to say if she doesn't agree. It's so frustrating trying to be honest about how someone is hurting you when they refuse to listen. I just wish she put Forth effort to be closer to me and take interest in my life, and maybe even be encouraging. Nothing I do is ever good enough, I just wish she's focus on my positive attributes and things I do well as much as she does things I do wrong. :/ she's a great woman and I love her but we really are two different people. It hurts not getting the love you need from your parents.
