So they other night I went to bed while my SO was still up. I got up at about midnight to get some water. When I walked into the living room to get to the kitchen I saw him quickly turn the screen of his phone off and try to hide it. I asked him what he was doing, and he said nothing. I asked to see his phone and he repeated he was doing nothing. Then I told him he was being sneaky and demanded to see his phone. When I opened it I saw he was texting a female friend of his. She had sent him a selfie (nothing inappropriate other then it was midnight) and his response was "well look at you". He swears up and down that it was just friendly and he hid his phone because I surprised him. When someone texts him or sends him anything like that great always upfront about it, and I know this girl is selfie crazy. I trust that there is nothing between then, but it hurt me how sneaky and secretive he was and that he lied and said it was nothing. I know he isn't cheating but I still feel like my self confidence is a little shot. Instead of laying in bed next to me he was in the other room texting another girl. Regardless of the picture she sent it still hurts me that if a girl sends a selfie at midnight that he would even answer.
