Why can't boyfriends juts listen to you with out saying some dumb shit like if I'm sad or upset can u juts listen to me an comfort me instead of nag and et mad at me like dam I told h I was starting my period to watch out 😒

My SO is the best listener. If I need to vent her will just listen to me, then hug me afterwards but I always believe just because you are on your period doesn't mean you get to be a mean. Maybe it's because I'm never really moody on my period.

It took a long time for my husband to understand I just wanted to vent. He is a problem solver, I'd come to him with a problem and he'd come up with all these ways to 'fix' it, then get annoyed when I'd complain about the same thing the next week. 
I just had to explain that some days, I just want to whinge. He eventually got the message. You might just need to communicate to him that you're not looking for answers, just a shoulder...
