Diaper Genie?

Is it really that great? Trying to decide if I should buy one or just get a regular trash can...please help!!

We got an Ubbi on a recommendation from a friend. It's more expensive than a diaper genie, but it takes any type of bag(we use plastic grocery bags). Also, the coated steel container is easy to clean. It comes in lots of colors.

We used our diaper genie with our first for a while but the smell would still stick around. It was easier to take poopy diapers tie them in a grocery bag and toss them outside right away.

I've bought one and ended taking it back, more of a hassle then anything for me at least, I bag em and throw em away.

We love ours!  It's been in our room for two years and no smell at all. To me it's worth it. Baking soda applicators can help if it will be in a small space.

I thought they were soooo gross. I would rather walk to extra 100ft and take a dirty diaper to the outside trash then have one of those nasty stinky things in my baby's bedroom

I would definitely recomend one doesn't need to be super expensive but really helps with the stench. Trust me it will stink!!

Love our diaper genie, keeps the smell away unlike putting them in the trash and its convienet to have by the changing table.

Target has the small one and it comes with a thing of bags, and you can use the target generic brand bags to refill it and it was about $20.
