Telling work?

I'm around 5 weeks. And work as a hairdresser so may be hard to hide from work colleagues. Especially if I get morning sickness. When is best to tell them?

Thank you. My 1st app is 2nd sept. I'm thinking of trying to wait till then when I know everything is all well and good. Then tell my manager. Keeping it secret from friends with all the birthdays christenings dinner party's and days at the races is hard enough. Let alone people I work with all day every day and are like family haha

Definitely wait until you are comfortable, you don't have to tell until much, much later.  Maybe wait and see if you have issues with morning sickness and cross the bridge then

I told a manager at 5 weeks - I felt like I had to because I was about to be assigned to a project that would be dangerous for me during pregnancy and it would have been impossible to get out of it without telling and also because I need time off for medical appointments. I asked that the information not be shared with anyone else yet and she has respected that request.

I told woork just before I was six weeks but only because I've had such terrible morning sickness there was no way I could lie about it or let them honk I was faking being ill. Tell work when you feel comfortable, only your line manager needs to know
