Which insurances cover infertility?

And is there a way to get coverage if you arnt covered by your primary one? Any good ones even for purchase that cover iuis and Ivf?

We have BCBS federal and they did not cover a dime of IVF. All of the tests leading up to IVF were covered but once we chose IVF, we paid 100% until my positive blood test. IUI was not an option for us so I can't speak to that. I do know that lap surgery would have been covered other than hospital fees.

It doesn't really matter on the insurance, it's if the company allows it to be covered. It's your employers choice. I saw someone had blue cross, I also have that and we had absolutely no coverage because my husbands company doesn't allow infertility coverage.

I know when I worked for TMobile, they covered IVF, and even helped with adoption as part of the benefits. This was only a year ago.

We got through kaiser and literally everything is covered (only $20 co pays for office visits) however.. California doesn't allow any insurance to cover IVF so that's something to check with your state laws as well

I had United health care and they gave us $20k towards fertility treatments and drugs. We paid total of about $5000 out of pocket much better than $25k.

Mine was BCBS New Jersey and they covered fertility. They even gave me up to 10k towards treatment. I didn't even need it. Because all my scans and prescriptions were covered. We used follistim. Chlomid. Induced ovulation and times intercourse and had success. Good luck!

For us it was how the company set up the plan for employees.  My wife's company decided not to cover fertility  treatments or anything fertility related after a diagnosis of infertility. I had to use IUI with donor sperm and it's about 1500 a pop. The least expensive part is the actual procedure ($300). We have been lucky and got pregnant in the first try with both our pregnancies.  No meds needed so have no idea for costs there.

Depends on what you're referring to as "infertility". If you're talking about IUI and IVF most insurances don't cover it unless there was a preexisiting condition or something like a work related injury that caused it. My insurance didn't cover my IUIs. They were 500 each. They didn't cover clomid at the pharmacy either but that was only around 9 bucks. They did however cover all other Dr appointments/consultations :)
