Egg donor?

So I'm planning on a Tubal Ligation. I'm researching it and I'm determined to get it despite my age (21) and lack of children. My genetic disorder is just too much of a risk. But I'm wondering. If I do want to become pregnant after sterilization, can I just use an egg donor?

Unfortunately at your age there's not a lot of doctors that will tied your tubes. Especially if you don't have kids.

Did you know you could do IVF yourself with your own eggs and they can do genetic testing to make sure your specific genetic disorder is not in the egg you're using? One of the women in my infertility group was doing that exact thing which is so cool!

Yes you can always use an egg donor it would be similar to doing IVF with FET. (Frozen egg transfer) it would just take a few long months of fertility meds BC to make sure everything it right where the doc want all your body's hormones and then they take the eggs you've selected from the donor or the bank and they check for growth and life signs and maturity and then transfer. It's a completely plausible solution. Just keep in mind most insurance companies don't pay for IVF, surrogacy, donor transplants at all. The most they will pay for is timed inter corse, and medication.

You will have to meet certain criteria. ESP if you are planning to have insurance pay for it. You can have a medical waiver created by your primary care manager PCM stating its too dangerous the risk is too high with you carrying this genetics disorder they will have to provide proof and stats on the dominance of the gene and the odds of it carrying through the blood brain barrier. THEN if your instance accepts it and agrees to pay for it they will waive what ever requirements you would normally have to meet like being a certain age or having a certain amount of kids. The last thing would just be finding a doc who would be willing to preform it on someone so young. In which your best bet would be to make an apt with a doc (after doing a lot of research finding a doc you think you'll like) and in the apt let them know you're aware of the choice your making you know why your making it you know the statistics and the issues with your gentic disposition. Approaching from a collected stand point will get ou further faster we just went through this whole process with my SIL because she has a recessive genetics disorder and she is a carrier so there a high rate of her baby testing positive.

I'm 23, also have a generic disorder that made me consider the same thing before I really wanted kids. The Dr's all told me I was way too young. They said wait until 30.
