Too much responsibility?
My aunt recently had a baby about three months ago. She is a nurse and works 4 days a week (12 hour shifts 45 minutes from her home) and has a rotating shifts which means very week her work days change. The baby's father is not in the picture.
My aunt has a 16 year old from a previous relationship. My aunt has moved the baby's crib into my neices room. She now feeds the baby a night, deals with him all night, gets up and ready for school (at 4:30!!!), feeds the baby by 5:30, gets him to daycare by 7, rushes to her school, picks the baby up from daycare, and watches him until my aunt gets home at about 8. Every other weekend my aunt must work the baby doesn't do daycare on the weekends so it falls to my niece to watch him all weekend.
My neice is very responsible, CPR certified, and a registered babysitter.
I would help out but unfortunately I live too far away to help on a daily basis.
Do you think that is too much responsibility for my 16 year old niece?
