Preeclampsia?! HELP!

Back in the ER tonight! Headache has progressively gotten so much worse, my feet as so swollen I waddle because it feels like they'll split, my urine yesterday at my regular check up had more protein in it, and my blood pressure has been 140/90 for the past 3 days. My doctors are not taking my seriously and are acting as if everything is normal. What should I do?! I gained 10 pounds in 4 days, my hands, face, neck and legs/feet are swollen as well!! I'm now seeing swiggles in my vision. I'm 37 weeks and 4 days as well!

Tell them about your vision !!!! And INSIST to be checked properly! Which doc's don't you take serious? In the ER? Your OBGYN? Tell them about swelling and weight gain in such short time!

Doctors normally don't like it when you suggest, but suggest a 24 hour urine! I was diagnosed with preeclampsia this morning and have been admitted to the hospital until delivery. I'm only 34+2 though. This can be very dangerous for YOU!

What kind of hospital are you in? This is kind of ridiculous. All of that sounds pretty textbook preeclampsia. Your BP is a little high but not awful. Mine has been in the 140s since 25 weeks because of preeclampsia. My doctor isn't worrying until it gets over 160. But everything else sounds like it. They should at least be taking a 24hr urine..

You most definitely need to be in the hospital right now.  Unfortunately some doctors just aren't that familiar with preeclampsia so they refuse to diagnose it because they don't reay know how to handle it.  This isn't something to let slide, preeclampsia is the number 1 preventable cause of death among pregnant women.

I am going through the exact same thing, I have been in horrible pain for about two weeks now . I went to the doc last week and she admitted me for 3 hrs. I was having contractions and was dilated 1 cm. by the time Ieft I was in worse pain that when I got there . I have high bp, protien in urine, bad head aches, swelling in feet , hands, and when u press down on my feet , it leave a dent . And my right arm hurts all the way up to my shoulder , I haven't had any problems up until these past 3 weeks so I thought since I was in such pain she wud take me seriously but nope. Everything I ask them or say about anything or every time I call them , all they say is "take Tylenol" I can't even walk anymore , I know I'm due sept21 but he will be here any day now I just know . Now I'm just trying to hold him in until 36 weeks . Wish I could help u but I feel the same way ... My doc is a joke

What has your doctor said about all of this? Is he/she the one having you discharged? All of your symptoms sound pretty text book and it sounds like you need an actual explanation for why they aren't treating it as such. I would try going to a different hospital since you clearly aren't being taken seriously at your current one. Praying for you and your little one.

You need to take care of you girl. Insist on particular treatment. They get paid to take care of you, ALOT of money. They can get over it!!
